Abstract

Isoprene and dry ammonia could be converted in a catalytic process in good yields into a mixture of primary, secondary, and tertiary terpene amines. Homogeneous catalysts formed from palladium acetylacetonate and tributyl phosphite showed the best activities and selectivities for the telomerization.
