Abstract

Cyclobutgl analogs of the following phenyl-substituted drugs have been synthesized: phenobarbital, a-phenyl-~-niethylsaccinimide, phenylbutazone, cinchophen and 4-amino-2- phenylquinoline. The cgclobutj-1 group can replace effectively a 1-cyclohesenyl group in hypnotic barbiturates, but produces no synipathominietic effects in the cyclobutgl analog of amphetamine, nor does it lead to significant metabolite antagonism in 8-cgclobutyl-a- ...
