Abstract The syntheses of 7-diethylaminocoumarin-or modified DEACM-nicotinamide and 6- bromo-7-methoxycoumarin-or BMCM-nicotinamide have been accomplished by reaction of nicotinoyl isocyanate with the corresponding coumarin allylic alcohol derivatives.
