Abstract

The collision-induced decomposition spectra of several complexes ML, L2'and ML, L2L3', where M= Mn, Fe, and Co and L,= CO, NO, H20, and CH30H, are described. Treating branching ratios for ligand loss processes as equilibrium constants in these cases is justified empirically. Relative metal-ligand bond strengths derived from this treatment show antisymbiotic synergistic effects.
