Abstract

Development of a new, efficient resolution method of α-cyano-α-fluoro-p-tolylacetic acid (CFTA) has been successfully achieved, which has been troublesome to obtain by conventional methods, in spite of its outstanding ability as an NMR chiral derivatizing agent.
