Abstract

Abstract Model compounds related to the important elastomer derived from CH 2 2 CF 2/CFCF 3 are synthesised from telomers (CF 3) 2 CF (CH 2 CF 2 n I, by coupling and by fluorodeiodination reactions. These models, in reactions with bases, give information relating to mechanism of cross-linking of the polymer and indications of factors that limit its working life.
