Abstract

Abstract: Activity coefficients, 7, and practical osmotic coefficients, 6, measured by vapor- pressure osmometry, are reported for biphenyl, benzoic acid, and six amino acid derivatives and peptides, all in chloroform solutions at 36 OC. Consecutive molal self-association constants are calculated from the data by attributing the osmotic nonideality to self- association.
