Abstract

Various C3-symmetric 2, 4, 6-triphenyl-1, 3-5-s-triazine and 1, 3, 5-triphenylbenzene derivatives have been prepared using cyclotrimerization, Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling and O-alkylation reactions as key steps. The biological activity of O-alkylated triazine derivatives has been studied towards the HeLa cell proliferation. The resulting C3-symmetric derivatives can also be useful in materials chemistry.
