Abstract The new complexes [R 2 HGeGeR 2 Fe (η 5-C 5)(CO) 2](R Et or Ph) were prepared by a substitution reaction from the corresponding arylhalohydrodigermanes and the iron salt. Their characterization by IR, 1 H and 13 C NMR and mass spectroscopy is reported.
