Abstract

Results and Discussion Dianion 1 was prepared previously as the crystalline dilithium salt with 12-butyllithium/TMEDA (method A). 6 This procedure required several days and appears to offer no advantage over a new way (method B) employing nbutyllithium/ potassium tert-butoxide and requiring only a few minutes.
