Abstract

We have developed a new flexizyme (a flexible de novo tRNA acylation ribozyme) system, a pair of amino-derivatized benzyl thioester (ABT) and amino flexizyme (aFx). ABT bearing the ammonium ion was designed to render the acyl-donor substrates better water solubility.
