The preparation and some pharmacological properties of sixteen 2-(l-amino-ethyl)-l, 4- benzodioxanes are described. The pharmacological data obtained for these amines have been compared with those of the corresponding 2-amino-ethyl-l, 4-ben~ odioxanes. This comparison showed that, in this series, branching of the side chain results in a lowering of activity.
