Abstract

A facile and novel silver tetrafluoroborate catalyzed electrophilic cascade cyclization reaction to generate halo-substituted benzo [a] fluorenols under mild conditions is disclosed. Good chemical selectivity and mild reaction conditions were involved in the transformation.
