Abstract

A series of substituted hydrazide derivatives have been synthesized and screened for their in vitro antimicrobial activities against five representative microorganisms. The results of antimicrobial study indicated that the presence of electron withdrawing groups on the benzoic acid moiety improved antimicrobial activity.
