Abstract

Conclusions A recently developed method has been used in the study of the tautomeric equilibrium of the 4-oxopyridine in solution. The small amount of computer time needed, relative to other theoretical approaches, as well as the excellent agreement with the experimental values indicate that it constitutes an excellent tool for the study of solvation problems in systems of chemical and biochemical interest.
