Summary The preparation and nitration of 2-imidazoli- done, ethylenebisurethan, ethylenebisacetamide and cyclic eihyleneoxamide to dinitro derivatives and the hydrolysis of the dinitro derivatives to the high explosive ethylenedinitramine (EDNA) are described.
