Abstract

Iodoacetonitrile and bromoacetonitrile were used to enhance the sensitivity of chromatographically ditficult compounds. Selective derivatization occurs with acidic hydroxyl, amino, and amide functional groups but does not occur for the alcoholic hydroxyl group.
