Abstract

Tris (pentafluorophenyl) borane [B (C6F5) 3] has been used as an efficient catalyst for reductive alkylation of alkoxy benzenes using aldehydes as an alkylating agent in the presence of polymethylhydrosiloxane (PMHS).
