Abstract: The oxidation of p-fluorophenyl p-fluorobenzenethiolsulfinate (la), ArS (O) SAr, to the corresponding thiolsulfonate, ArSOzSAr (2a), by peracetic acid, and other peracids, at- 20 OC in chloroform has been studied by I9F NMR.
