Abstract

The γ-ray induced telomerization of allyl, α-methallyl, α, α-dimethylallyl, and β-methallyl acetates with carbon tetrachloride was carried out in order to compare the effects of methyl substituents. In the cases of the former three acetates, the effect of successive methyl substitution on the allylic α-position was found to show exactly the same regularity as to the effects on the velocities of C= C consumption, the telomer production ratios, and their ...
