Abstract

Haitinger, by treating isobutylene, isoamylene and tertiary butyl and amyl alcohols with absolute nitric acid, obtained (CH&C= CHNOz and (CH&C= C (NOz) CH3 in small yields, mainly, however, products of oxidation; with ethylene only oxidation products were formed.
