Abstract

Chiral diamines, 2-(anilinophenylmethyl) pyrrolidines and 2-(anilinodiphenylmethyl) pyrrolidine, were prepared from N-(tert-butoxycarbonyl) pyrrolidine or (S)-proline as a starting material, respectively. These chiral diamines were efficient for the catalytic enantioselective borane reduction of acetophenone.
