Abstract

Ilotli Alotylewski3 and Hinsberg6 tieiiioiistrated that o-phenylenediamines and a-haloacids could be condensed to give mixtures of various products, including 2-hydroxy-3-alkyl-3, 4- dihydroquinoxaline and its oxidation product, 2-hydroxy-3-alkylquinoxaline.
