Abstract The highly selective hydrogenation of adiponitrile proceeds effectively in supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2) to produce 6-aminocapronitrile with excellent selectivity of 100% over rhodium/alumina (Rh/Al 2 O 3) and without any additive, which is impossible in classical organic solvents.
