Abstract A facile and practical synthesis of 3, 5-disubstituted isoxazoles via a silver- catalyzed cyclization and subsequent protonation of alkynyl oxime ethers has been developed. The methodology was successfully applied to the synthesis of a biologically active isoxazolecarboxylic acid.
