Abstract

A number of benzyloxyamines were prepared for conversion into urea and thiourea derivatives. The benzyloxyamine hydrochlorides on treatment with phosgene gave a mixture of the corresponding benzyl 4-(benzyloxy)-allophanate and benzyloxycarbamyl chloride.
