Abstract

The most powerful and specific inhibitors of mitochondrial monoamine oxidase (MAO) yet known are 2-propynylamine derivatives [i]. Searches have been carried out [2-4] for even more powerful and selective MAO inhibitors in the deprenil and pargiiin groups, and the relationships between structure and antimonoamine oxidase activity have been examined.
