Abstract

In order to obtain the hydrazones (V, VII, IX), the corresponding aminophenanthridines were diazotized and the diazonium salts formed were reduced by tin chloride in hydrochloric acid. The hydrazines obtained were condensed (without preliminary separation) with pyrotartaric acid. In this case, the yields of phenanthridyl hydrazones of pyrotartaric acid V, VII, IX were- 75%.
