Abstract

The syntheses of macrocycles containing two diphenylstanna moieties, C-[P~~ S~(CH,),- ]~(1, n= 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12), and four diphenylstanna moieties, c-[Ph2Sn (CH2),-],(2, same n), are reported. a, w-Bis-(bromomagnesi0) alkanes reacted with Ph3SnC1 to give a, w-bis (triphenylstmny1) alkanes which upon treatment with HBr gave a,@-bis ( bromodiphenylstanny1) alkanes 4.
