Summary The synthesis of 1R, 1R′, 2, 3, 4, 5-tetraphenyl-1-silacyclopentadienes I–V, VII, X, XII and XIII is described. 1-Chloro-1-silacyclopentadiene VI reacts with lithium/ trimethylchlorosilane to the silylated compound VII and with lithium alone to the disilane VIII.
