Abstract

5′-O-Dimethoxytrityl-2′-O-tetrahydropyranyl-N 2-benzoylguanosine smoothly reacts with 4-chlorophenyl 5-chloro-8-quinolyl hydrogen phosphate in the presence of 8- quinolinesulfonyltetrazolide (QS-te) to give 5′-O-dimethoxytrityl-2′-O-tetrahydropyranyl-N 2-benzoylguanosine 3′-(4-chlorophenyl, 5-chloro-8-quinolyl) phosphate in high yield without a side product such as O 6-phosphorylated guanosine.
