Abstract

The benzene sulfonyl group is used as a “transfer of activation” reagent to alkylate selectively the NH of both pyrrolopyrimidines and 5-aminoindoles substituted on thienopyrimidines. A variety of primary and secondary alcohols are utilized as alkylating substrates.
