Abstract Some new organohalogenostannate (IV) complexes of the type M+{R 2 SnCl 2 X}−(M= Et 4 N, Bu 4 N; R= Me, Bu, Ph; X= Cl, Br, I), M+ 2 {Ph 2 SnCl 2 X 2} 2−(M= Et 4 N, Bu 4 N; X= Cl, Br) and M+{R 3 SnClX}−(M= Et 4 N, Bu 4 N; R= Bu, Ph; X= Cl, Br, I) have been isolated and their Mössbauer spectra studied.
