A multiple-component coupling reaction in one pot1 promoted by various organometallics represents an extremely powerful means to produce complex organic molecules. Our interest in utilizing organomanganese reagents for selective organic transformations prompted us to explore employment of trialkylmanganate for a consecutive carbon-carbon bond formation.
