用于有机合成。糠胺与2,4-二氯-5-氨磺酰基苯甲酸缩合可得强效利尿药速尿。速尿作利尿作用强而快，是治疗亚重水肿所必需的药物，糠胺也用作抗腐蚀剂。

糠胺制备

1. 由糠醛经氢化、氨化而得。将糠醛、催化剂阮尼镍投入不锈钢反应釜，再加入经氨饱和的甲醇。通氮置换釜内空气，然后通氢，在45-60℃，8.8MPa下搅拌吸氢4h，至釜压不变为终点。将反应物过滤，滤液回收甲醇至尽，减压蒸馏，收集45-67℃（0-5.32kPa）馏分，即为糠胺，收率约40%。
