用途一：GB 2760-96规定为允许使用的食用香料。主要用以配制杏、桃、柠檬等柑橘类香精。用途二：能少量用于许多香型中，如甜橙花、玫瑰、栀子、薰草、紫罗兰、防风根、鸢尾、柑橘和东方型等。在花香和非花香型中都能很好地协调，能增强紫罗兰酮的紫罗兰香气和格蓬的清香等。也可用于食用杏子、桃子、柠檬和其他柑橘、果香香精中。
