方法1.将热得6%的KIO₄水溶液，通过装满KY-2(H型)交换剂的柱子后，进行加热，蒸发浓缩至开始结晶，然后放出硫酸干燥器，析出的结晶抽虑后，再放入干燥器干燥。

方法2.用少量水浸润高碘酸钡，加如过量的相对密度为1.42的浓硝酸（物色、不含氮氧化物），加热到60～70 ºC冷却后静置，不断搅拌，让其充分反应：

反应结束后，冷却到30～40℃，滤出硝酸钡沉淀，用浓硝酸洗涤沉淀至不含高碘酸，洗液与滤液合并，一起减压蒸发浓缩（ 60～70℃），冷却后静置，使使无色高碘酸完全结晶，滤出的晶体在50 ºC下减压干燥，得纯度为99.5%～99.9%的高碘酸。
