Abstract: Treatment of 5-methyl-5-f-butyl-N-nitrosooxazolidone (I) with lithium ethoxide ethanolate in the presence of 1, I-diphenylethylene (11), tetramethylallene (111), and triethylsilane (IV), respectively, yielded the following major products: c~ sl-(l, 2, 2- trimethylpropylidene)-2, 2-diphenylcyclopropane (V); cis-l-isopropylidene-2-(1, 2, 2- trimethylpropylidene)-3, 3-djmethylcyclopr0pane (X)(also lesser amounts of the trans ...
