摘要

The reaction probably proceeds via 0-silylation, thereby weakening the carbon-nitrogen bond, resulting in a facile substitution by the iodide anion. Another molar equivalent of iodotrimethylsilane is consumed by converting byproduct trimethylsilyl nitrite into hexamethylsiloxane.
