Several" one-pot" methods for conversion of 7-ACA (6) to a variety of 7-amino-3- (ammoniomethyl)-or 7-amino-3-[[(heteroaryl) thio] methyl] cephalosporin derivatives via bistrimethylsilylated intermediates are presented.
