Abstract Binary copper (I) 3, 5-dibutyl triazolate has been prepared from 3, 5-dibutyl triazole and Cu (NO 3) 2 under hydrothermal condition. This complex crystallizes in tetragonal I 4 1/a with a= b= 17.622 (3) Å, c= 15.842 (3) Å and exhibits a 3D structure of either four-connected lvt or three-connected lvt-a topology.
