Conclusions An attempt was made to show that the'3c to'gF dipolar coupling experiment is a usable structure determination technique. The ability to use the trifluoromethyl moiety as the source of l9F greatly expands the utility of this technique. It may appear that the application of the technique is extremely tedious but this may be avoided.
