摘要

We have already reported the synthesis of condensed 4-substituted pyrano(thiopyrano)- [4',3':4,5]thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidines, which have anticonvulsant activity [i]. Our intention in the work described here was to synthesize tetrahydropyrido[4',3';4,5]- thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidines, which differ from the preceding compounds in a single heteroatom.
