Abstract: A series of four-and five-membered ring polyfluorocyclic vinyl ethers was reacted with 2 equiv of sulfur trioxide to give cu, P-unsaturated ketone products. In the five- membered ring series 3, the enone product 4 and methoxypyrosulfuryl fluoride (5) were isolated at relatively low reaction temperatures (< 70" C).
