Allenylsilanes [1] and allylsilanes [2] have been successfully used by Danheiser etal. and Knçlker etal. as nucleophiles in reactions with activated alkenes using Lewis acids in formal [3+ 2] cycloadditions for the formation of substituted cyclopentanes.
