Catalytic dehydrogenative silylation of terminal alkynes with hydrosilanes has been achieved by using divalent Yb-imine complexes. The reaction with mono-, di-, and trihydrosilanes gave the corresponding alkynylsilanes in good yields. α, ω-Diynes were similarly silylated at both termini.
