Abstract Analogs of natural alkaloids of acridone series, derivatives of4-(9-alkyl-11-oxo-7, 8, 9, 10, 1, 12-hexahydrobenzo [a] acridin-12-yl) and 4-(12-oxo-12 H-benzo [f] indeno [1, 2-b] quinolin-13-yl) 2-ethoxyphenyl carboxylates were synthesized by a three-component condensation of vanillal with 2-naphthylamine and 1, 3-cyclohexanedione, dimedone, phendione, or 1, 3-indanedione.
