Abstract Reaction between 6-N-benzoyl-9-[3, 5-O-(1, 1, 3, 3-tetra-isopropyldisiloxane-1, 3- diyl)-2-O-trifluoromethanesulfonyl-β-d-arabinofuranosyl] adenine (12a), prepared from 9-(β- d-arabinofuranosyl) adenine, and 9-(4-methoxyphenyl) xanthene-9-thiol (AXT, 7b) in the presence of N 1, N 1, N 3, N 3-tetramethylguanidine, followed by treatment with tetraethylammonium fluoride in acetonitrile and then with methanolic ammonia, gave the 2 ...
