The chloromercuri derivatives of purines form convenient starting materials for the synthesis of the 9-j3-D-ribofuranosyl derivatives of adenine, 2, 6-diaminopurine, guanine3 and isog~~ anine.~ These methods have now been applied to the preparation of various analogous glycosylpurines of possible biological interest. 9-&D-Ribopyranosyladm ine, 9-PD- ribopyranosylguanine and 2, 6-diamino-9-/3-~-ribopyranosyl-purine were prepared by ...
