ABSTRACT: 1-Phenyl phospholes react with t-BuLi to yield 1-tertiobutyl phospholes. Two new phospholes are thus prepared. Trifluoroacetic acid converts phospholes into the corresponding 3-phospholene oxides and its reaction with monomeric phosphole sulfides is also investigated.
